totti.jpgRome are forced to change team strategy as it has been communicated that their leading man Francesco Totti will be out for up to 3 months following an injury whilst playing last sunday. The 29 year old Roman legend broke his left fibula during the 12th minute of his serie A match against Empoli and now has to focus on his recovery in order to be present for the World Cup as he is considered to be a key figure for his national team. The star having undergone surgery has received great support from his ever growing fans with numerous flowers and messages being sent to his room at the private clinic where he is currently residing.

Lippi has commented that he will give Totti as much time as needed to make a full recovery and will wait up until the very lastminute before the Italian team leaves for Germany 2006.

Totti is a renowned worldwide for his football expertise and a trip to Rome would not be complete without a visit to the ‘Foro Italico’ where you can watch both Roma and Lazio in action. Berlusconi and Jesus???

His motto is: as long as I am in the news.

Last Saturday, the day the opposition leader Romano Prodi presented his elections programme, prime minister Berlusconi has succeeded once again. Not Prodi, the favourite for the coming elections, but the ‘Cavaliere’ dominated the news.

What did he do to achieve this?

Joking, joking, joking.

Friday he told fellow Italians that “only Napoleon did better than meâ€? when it comes to serving his country. Saturday he continued that “I (am) (…) the Jesus Christ of politics, a patient victim that is willing to bear anything and always makes sacrificesâ€?.

According to Berlusconi an “American research agency predicts that he will win the elections – all this while polls show him behind by about 5%.
