Just out of Rome: Tivoli

glt_tivoli_fountains.jpgThe eternal city is wonderful in the springtime with its streets, parks and ice-cream bars that come to life again; but if you have more than a few days to spare in Rome, you can’t miss the delicious small towns in the surrounding mountains! One of the most interesting is Tivoli, a beautiful ancient town with a magnificent renaissance villa of the Este family, the remains of the huge villa built by the emperor Hadrian and named after him Villa Adriana and nearby the spa town of Bagni di Tivoli based on ancient traditions: probably even Cicero and Horace headed there when they needed to take a break! Book a tour to experince the charm of Tivoli
