You cannot go far wrong in the city centre as there is a ‘pizza a taglio’ (cut pizza) on every corner and they are usually of a very high quality, so let yourself be tempted maybe more than one slice with various toppings! In the winter months you will find the traditional margherita but also calzone with ham and cheese, and pizza topped with mushrooms and mozzarella, 4 cheeses, sausage and spinach, courgettes and egg!, potatoes, salami to name just a few. As the weather becomes warmer you may prefer a lighter option and you will find that the ‘pizza a taglio’ begins to offer pizza with tuna or chicken salad, cherry tomatoes and rocket, caprese and basil, turkey and lettuce and many other fresh ingredients used to create a world of fantasies of pizza! Either for lunch or dinner this is a heartyand tasty meal that should cost you approx. 4 euro for 2 good sized slices of your favourite pizza. Some establishments have an eating area alternatively you can take away and eat al fresco in your favourite piazza.

The Hotel Des Artistes which is a 3 star hotel offering great quality at the right price is located just around the corner from a wonderful ‘Pizzeria a taglio’ which prides itself in an extra light and crispy pizza base topped with the freshest ingredients including even the possibility of Pizza with nutella for those with a sweet tooth!

We are the champions !

foto_campioni_del_mondo.jpgYesterday night was a very special night: Streets in Rome and all over Italy were deserted between 8 pm and 10.40 pm! All tv sets on and until the end of the match, italians barely dared to breath: how would the football championship game end?

Italy fought hard and won the title of world champion. After the match all italian cities became lively with joy, and many had the italian flag hanging out the car window and shouted away happily the victory.

This time of the year is ideal for a nice chill out during your stay in Rome and when night comes, once the heat fades away you will enjoy the many squares, restaurants and bars with a terrace and you can also enjoy our night tour away from the heat.

It’s shopping time…

shopping.jpgFor who wants to take a day off of all this culture in Rome the best thing to do is shopping! This city could be called “the city of shopping”. The shopping zone is located in three parallel streets that all meets up from via del Corso.

You can arrive there from Piazza di Spagna and in Via Condotti which is one of this three streets you can find the most famous designer lables like Hermès, Bulgari, Ferrè, Gucci etc. The Via Condotti is also called one of the most elegant streets of the world. The other two streets are called Via Borgognona and Via Frattina. If you prefer a young fashion style than your way should be the Via del Corso. Here you can find young fashion, sports fashion and parfum shops. This street is famous for its shops like Diesel, Levi’s, Footlocker, Mango etc..

For who prefers a market where you can find used things and also new things than you are right at Porta Portese and located in the street of Porta Portese. That is a market where you can find everything and I mean really everything like clothes CD’s, DVD’s, tables, couches, chairs, Shampoo, Assesoirs etc… for cheap prices. They do that every sunday and it starts in the morning and ends at 2.00 p.m.

Anyway to go for shopping in Rome you need energy and time to spend. So why not going for a trip to Rome and enjoying this beautyful city. For a nice accomodation to stay for we have good infos here
