Upcoming July Events in Lazio, Italy
Italy is renowned for its food and its fashion so if you are going to stay in Rome durino the next few days and want to enjoy some seaside also, a day trip outside Rome is in order :
Fashion Festival Pontino 2008 , 22 and 23 July:
Pontino derives from “Pontina” which is a major highway from Rome to South West Rome, towards the seaside and reaching the towns of Sabaudia and further South San Felice Circeo.
This Fashion show in Lazio takes place in Sabaudia, only about 60 kms from Rome.
There you will be able to enjoy local young Italian designers of “Alta Moda” only emerging and who are still to become worldwide famous ! Many talented stylists such as E. Von Furstenberg, Accademia Altieri and Strech Couture will be attending also.
If the theme is definitely the fashion, there will also be young musicians playing and also future stars of the ballet and dancing along with various famous VIP of the Italian show biz.

Caput Lucis – a great fireworks contest in Valmontone : from 24 to 29 July 2008
This international fireworks competion near Rome has been taking place already for a few years in a row and is a great success. It is well worth the trip from Rome (only 35 kms away). The competition is international and therefore be prepared to see the show in multicolors .
Caput Lucis takes place at the now famous Outlet Fashion District, and you will enjoy 2 shows per night and stands of food and drinks are available too so you can sit and enjoy .
It is in easy reach from central Rome by train and your stop will be Valmontone, and the ride is 40 mins circa.
