This Gala, that takes place every year, is part of the AF Golden league Series which includes five other meetings in Germany, Norway, France, Switzerland and Belgium. This format was created to give athletes the opportunity to compete in more meetings with repeated rivalries. In addition, if an athlete wins in their discipline in all six meetings they win a part of the 1 million US jackpot.

Not only will this event host some of the best track and field athletes of the   world but it has been recognized as the best event in the world of athletics.   Wonderful news for all those who love bikes and cars. During May a trip to Rome Italy does not only include a visit to its famous monuments and a tasting of the local delectable cuisine, but a stopover to the Monte Mario Motorcycling Circuit to admire vintage bikes, scooters and vehicles. On the 10^th of May 2009 there will be a race between these vintage bikes and other historic vehicles. The race will be held at Castel Sant’Angelo right in the center of Rome near the Vatican. The entrance fee is 25 euros. The activity starts at 8 am and the race begins at 1 pm. The event is being held by Moto Guzzi Roma so if you need more information you can visit their website. It’s definitely an event not to miss!

From Yes Hotel or Hotel des Artistes, both located near the Termini station, is very easy to reach Castel Sant’angelo. All you have to do is take the bus 40 from the station and get off on the last stop. The route of this bus passes near many historical monuments, so you’ll do some sight-seeing on your way there!

The Ferrari SpA produces sports and race cars, and its symbol is the "rampant  horse".The company was founded by Enzo Ferrari, and starting on 1947 the construction of cars becomes the main activity . The real passion of Enzo Ferrari, despite the excellent business from the sale of cars, was always the race and, after the end of World War II, the Ferrari team appeared for the first time on the scene of the European Grand Prix.
The Scuderia Ferrari was born, then, in 1950 and joined the World Championship Formula 1 on their first year, making its debut at the Monaco Grand Prix. The first victory for Ferrari team in the Grand Prix of Great Britain came in 1951 with  Jose Froilan Gonzalez. The first title of champion of the world came the following year with Alberto Ascari.
Ferrari is the only team to have participated in all editions of the World Cup of Formula 1 and it is one that has the highest number of matches. The company holds as well the record of 15 titles of World Champion of pilots (achieved in 1952, 1953, 1956, 1958, 1961, 1964, 1975, 1977, 1979, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2007), the record of 16 titles of World champion constructors (1961, 1964, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1979, 1982, 1983, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2007 and 2008) and the record of 204 victories in a Grand Prix (updated 2 November 2008).
The Ferrarri team is also known as Red, or in Italian La Rossa by his fans, because of the characteristic color of its racing cars that’s recognized all around the world.

Over the Years La Rossa has had many famous pilots, among them: Tazio Nuvolari, Juan Manuel Fangio, Alberto Ascari (the only Italian with Michele Alboreto from 84 to 88 and Lorenzo Bandini from 62 to 67), Niki Lauda, Alain Prost, Nigel Mansell, Michael Schumacher, Jean Alesi, Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen.

Currently, Ferrari has entered the World Championship Formula 1 2008, the only sporting competition in which currently is committed, under the name Scuderia Ferrari.

Formed in 1980, Depeche Mode is now one of the most influential and long lasting electronic music bands, with forty-five songs in the UK Singles Chart and with 75 million albums sold worldwide according to EMI.

The historic members of the band are:Dave Gahan (lead vocals), Martin Gore (keyboards, guitar, vocals), Andrew Fletcher (keyboards).

The band will visit 28 cities in 21 countries with their new Tour of the Universe kicking off on May 06th at the Rockhal in Luxembourg and landing then on May 10th at Tel Aviv, as announced by the band at the Olympiastadion of Berlin during a press conference held last October. During their last tour in 2006 the exhibition at the Israeli city was cancelled due to the war. Tour dates are planned throughout Europe: Greece, Bulgary, Hungary, France, Germany, Czech Republic, Italy and others more.

Italian fans can’t wait for these two dates of the tour: the first one on June 16th 2009 in the Stadio Olimpico of Rome and the second one on June 18th 2009 in Milan, in the San Siro Stadium. Tickets have been sold since October!

Sounds of the Universe (2009), twelfth album of the band, is the result of a creative

process,  started in early 2008 with some songs Martin Gore had been working on at his home studio in Santa Barbara. The first single released from the album  is Wrong, available on the band’s official website.

Se amate il fitness abbiamo grandi notizie per voi: la maratona di Roma è proprio dietro l’angolo e siamo sicuri che non vorrete perdere questa meravigliosa esperienza.

Il bello di questa gara è la possibilità di ammirare, mentre correte, alcuni tra i più accattivanti, angoli della Città Eterna: i partecipanti partiranno infatti, da Campo de’ Fiori, seguendo poi un percorso che li porterà a Testaccio, uno dei più tradizionali quartieri romani e poi lungo il Tevere fino a Piazza di Spagna, Piazza del Popolo, per raggiungere infine il traguardo davanti a uno dei più imponenti monumenti di Roma: il Colosseo.

Tutti i dettagli inerenti alla maratona, possono essere consultati sul sito ufficiale. E se per caso correre 40 chilometri non vi attira, contemporaneamente alla maratona, si svolgerà, una corsa chiamata Roma Fun Run, aperta a tutti quelli che vogliono divertirsi senza stancarsi troppo. Le iscrizioni si fanno al Marathon Village, al Palazzo dei Congressi Eur, vicino alla fermata della metropolitana EUR Fermi. Il costo è di 7 euro e sarà possibile iscriversi fino al giorno prima della gara.

Oltre la bellezza di Roma ci sono altri motivi speciali per partecipare a questo importante evento che si ripete ogni anno. Lo slogan questo anno è “Start Your  Dreams”, ed è proprio questo che faranno alcuni concorrenti. Luwis Masunda è un maratoneta professionista dallo Zimbabwe, che non può permettersi di partecipare a nessuna maratona data la condizione di estrema povertà del suo paese, ma gli organizzatori della maratona di Roma hanno deciso di invitarlo, e sarà tra i concorrenti distinti. Un altro partecipante, Gary Latella, è un giovane francese affetto da una strana malattia, che cominciò a correre per “sentirsi indipendente.” Gary ha preso parte, per così dire, ad alcune mezze maratone, ma Roma sarà la sua prima maratona completa. Infine parteciperà anche la signora Betty Jean McHugh, una nonna canadese di 82 anni che detiene i migliori tempi della sua categoria. Distinguerla durante la maratona non sarà difficile: lei porterà il numero 1927, come l’anno della sua nascita!

Come sapete, viaggiare per partecipare a un evento come questo può essere difficile dal punto di vista logistico. E’ consigliabile trovare un alloggio in una posizione centrale, ben collegato e a prezzi ragionevoli, e Yes Hotel e Hotel Des Artistes hanno tutti questi requisiti!

If you love fitness we have great news for you: the Rome marathon is just around the corner and we’re sure you don’t want to miss this unique experience.

Of course the great appeal of this marathon is the possibility to enjoy some of the most captivating views of the Eternal City: the runners will start the race at Campo de’ Fiori, following a course that will take them to Testaccio, one of the most traditional quartiers of Rome; along the legendary Tiber River and to Piazza del Popolo and the Spanish Steps to finish with the breath-taking view of the Colosseum.

To get all the details about the race, check the official website of the marathon. And in case you don’t feel like taking the 40-kilometer challenge, the same day there will be a 4-kilometer race called Roma Fun Run, open to anybody willing to have a great time and admire the beauty of the Eternal City from a different point of view. The inscriptions  for Roma Fun Run will be open until the day before the Marathon, and it will be possible to sign-in in the Marathon Village at the Palazzo dei Congresi Eur, near the subway station EUR Fermi. The inscription fee is seven euros.

Besides the millenary magic of Rome, there will be a couple of special reasons to at least keep an eye on the Marathon. The motto of the race this year is “Start Your Dreams”, and that’s exactly what three participants of the race will do. Luwis Masunda is a professional runner from Zimbabwe, but due to the economic crisis on his country,  travelling abroad to take part in a marathon was an impossible dream until the organizers of the Rome Marathon decided to invite him. Another athlete, Gary Latella is a French young man who suffers from a strange disease. He started running “to feel independent”, and has runned some half-marathons, but Rome will be his first full 40-kilometer race. Finally, Betty Jean McHugh is an 82-years old grandmother from Canada who holds the best time in the world for her category. Spotting her during the race won’t be a problem: she will be wearing the number 1927, like the year when she was born.

As you know, travelling abroad for an event like this can be difficult and logistically exasperating. A wise thing to do in these cases is find accommodation in a well-located and conveniently-priced hotel, and Yes Hotel and Hotel Des Artistes fill all the requirements!

Lenny Kravitz is one of the most popular American singers among young audiences. He plays a savvy mix of rock and pop. He’s a multi-talented star: besides singing, He plays the guitar, bass, the drums, piano, harmonica, and the sitar. Lenny was born and raised in New York. His father was of jewish descent and his mother came from the Bahamas.

  In 1989, Lenny Kravitz recorded his first album, Let Love Rule, which had some success. 1990, Madonna, the undisputed queen of pop, made a cover of one of his songs, Justify my love and brought him to the spotlight. It was through this implicit acknowledgement of his talent that Kravitz obtained his first real success. Another very important year for the singer was in 1999, when 5 was released, an album that took him to the highest positions in the hit parades of all the world. With this album, Kravitz experienced for the first time with electronic sounds. 5 was very successful in Europe, mainly due to its single entitled Fly Away and other hits like I belong To You, If you Can ‘ t Say No, and the cover American Woman.

The following year his first collection of greatest hits came out. The record included all the hits mentioned before, plus a new track called Again.During his career Lenny has established many fruitful collaborations with other pop artists like Michael Jackson, P. Diddy and Aerosmith.

It’s time for a love revolution is the title of the 2008 rock album with which the singer  reached the 4th position in the Billboard in America, and a 3rd place in Italy earning a golden record. Last year, however, Kravitz was hospitalized due to a bad flu, complicated by bronchitis  and severe dehydration, and the tour planned for this year to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of his career was postponed. Anyway, to the delight of his fans everywhere, Lenny has a concert scheduled in Rome for June 05, 2009.
