TUTANKHAMON AT EGYPTIAN MUSEUM OF ROME

”The Mysterious Discovery of Tutankhamon’s Tomb”: with this exciting exhibition the Egytpian Academy of Rome presents to public her just renewed Egyptian Museum, which current set-up follows indeed a two-years restoration.
On show in the brand-new Museum’s premises 30 pieces discovered inside the tomb of the world-renowned Pharaoh Tutankhamon, allegedly died at the age of 19 in mysterious circumstances. He governed between 1333 and 1323 BC, and his luxurious grave was brought to light by British archaeologists in 1922.
Those hosted in the Egyptian Museum of Rome are in fact replicas of the 30 original pieces collected at Cairo’s museum: because of this, the present exhibit offers a unique chance to admire the most famous works of art of Egyptian culture (including Tutankhamon’s golden mask, sarcophagus, war chariots and funerary vases) without travelling so far.
