STEVE MCCURRY’S PICS AT CINECITTÁ STUDIOS UNTIL SEPTEMBER!

STEVE MCCURRY’S PICS AT CINECITTÁ STUDIOS UNTIL SEPTEMBER!

Cinecittà film studios in Rome will be celebrating until September 20th one of the greatest photographers of our age: Steve Mc Curry. Since the ‘80’s he has been restlessly recording with his camera people, places, cultures, moods, feelings and atmospheres all over the world.
Travelling from Myanmar, to Afghanistan, Cambodia, Japan, Brazil, Ethiopia and – last but not least, of course – Italy he is the author of iconic images such the green eyed Afghan girl’s portrait which appeared on the cover of National Geographic in 1985.
Teatro 1 in Cinecittà has on exhibit more than one-hundred-fifty works: side by side to the most renowned ones, a great number of his latest pictures (not published anywhere else before) are on display, showing his intent to move “beyond the gaze, through doors and windows to describe space and light, to overcome pain and fear”, to use the words of the exhibit curator.
“Steve McCurry. Beyond the Gaze” venue can be easily reached by metro line A, Cinecittà stop. The exhibit is open from 9:30 am to 7pm every day but Tuesdays. Contact us at HotelRome.net to get more info on tickets!
